Role Overview
The UI/UX Designer is responsible for two outcomes at Inventeer:
1 – Product Design: Create clear, consistent UI/UX for Inventeer’s products—turning requirements into shippable flows, screens, and a scalable design system.
2 – Brand & Marketing Design: Maintain and evolve Inventeer’s website and produce high-quality marketing assets (LinkedIn, website visuals, sales collateral) that communicate our positioning and drive trust.
This role is delivery-focused: success is measured by shipped designs, usable product experiences, consistent brand execution, and fast turnaround on marketing needs—without sacrificing quality or clarity.
Key Responsibilities
Product UI/UX (Inventeer Products)
- Translate product goals into user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns.
- Produce high-fidelity UI in Figma: layouts, components, states (empty/loading/error), and responsive behavior.
- Maintain and evolve a shared design system (tokens, components, patterns) used across products.
- Define interaction rules and edge cases to reduce engineering ambiguity and rework.
- Partner with engineers during implementation to preserve intent while making pragmatic tradeoffs.
Website Ownership
- Maintain and improve the Inventeer website: layout updates, page creation, landing pages, content formatting, and visual consistency.
- Ensure site visuals match brand standards (typography, spacing, hierarchy, imagery style) and support conversion goals.
Marketing & Brand Assets
- Design marketing materials for LinkedIn and web (post visuals, carousels, banners, diagrams, hero images).
- Produce consistent visual assets aligned with Inventeer’s brand (templates, reusable components, image styles).
- Support content initiatives (e.g., anchor articles) with strong visuals that make complex ideas easy to understand.
- Maintain a lightweight asset library: source files, exports, naming conventions, and reuse-friendly templates.
Prototyping, Validation & Iteration
- Create prototypes to validate concepts quickly (product flows or landing pages).
- Run lightweight feedback loops with internal stakeholders (and users when applicable).
- Use basic analytics/feedback signals to refine UX and conversion-oriented pages.
Design Quality & Standards
- Apply accessibility fundamentals and usability heuristics across product and web work.
- Create clear handoff packages: specs, annotations, component behavior notes, and acceptance criteria.
- Keep designs organized and scalable: file hygiene, versioning, and component governance.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency with Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, libraries).
- Proven ability to design product UI/UX: flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity screens.
- Strong visual design fundamentals: layout, hierarchy, typography, spacing, and composition.
- Experience producing marketing assets for social/web with consistent branding.
- Basic understanding of web constraints (responsive design, layout systems; HTML/CSS literacy is a plus).
- Strong communication and collaboration: clear iterations, feedback handling, and practical tradeoffs.
Nice to Have
- Experience creating and maintaining a design system (tokens, governance, reusable components).
- Motion/animation skills for short marketing videos or micro-interactions.
- Illustration or diagramming skills to explain technical concepts visually.
- Copy/UX writing sensitivity (microcopy, labels, empty states).
- Familiarity with SEO basics and conversion-oriented page design.
Behavioral Expectations
- Delivery-first: ships designs and assets on time with minimal ambiguity.
- Systems mindset: creates reusable templates and components to scale output.
- Clarity over decoration: prioritizes comprehension, trust, and usability.
- Pragmatic collaborator: works smoothly with engineers and stakeholders; adapts fast.
- Ownership: maintains standards, keeps assets organized, and follows through to final outputs.
- Brand discipline: protects consistency across product, website, and marketing materials.
